Located in the south-east of Mauritius, Mahebourg is one of the oldest villages of the island dating back to the early Dutch and French periods. Mahebourg has preserved much of its authenticity and charm thanks to its old traditional homes that still stand, its welcoming streets filled with friendly faces. And of course, its local restaurants serving typical Mauritian food.
During the Mahebourg Village Food Tour, we will stop at various local restaurants and street food vendors to taste local Mauritian food, some of which are typical to Mahebourg. As we wander through the village, we will learn about the history of the region and discover what makes Mahebourg so authentic.
Take this food tour with Taste Buddies and discover the charming coastal village of Mahebourg.
